F1: Red Bull out $1.025M to replace Verstappen’s car
Speaking to German RTL, Dr. Helmut Marko let it be known that there is little left of the RB16B after the hard impact into the tire barrier of the Silverstone circuit.
“The car is total loss,“ said Marko, who also revealed that the cost of repairs is currently estimated at $1.025 million.
“It’s a significant amount that hurts us, especially in times of budgetary constraints.”
Red Bull and Verstappen want to put Sunday’s race behind them quickly as in two weeks time the Formula One circus will travel to Budapest. “Max will take his seat in the car again. He is very motivated,” Marko concluded.
