Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Trucks joining Music City IndyCar Grand Prix
Another highly-intense racing attraction was added Friday to the inaugural Big Machine Music City Grand Prix.
Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Trucks Series will be run each day (Aug. 6-8) of the event at Nissan Stadium.
The Stadium Super Trucks series began with 12 races in 2013. It is off-road racing by identically-prepared trucks on short curvy courses with jumps primarily in football stadiums.
The races at Nissan Stadium begin at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 6, 2:45 p.m. Aug. 7 and 1:15 p.m. Aug. 8. The Music City Grand Prix IndyCar race is Aug. 8 at 4:30 p.m.
Drivers expected to participate include Robby Gordon and 13-year-old son Max, Brabham, Creed, Greg Biffle and Arie Luyendyk Jr.
Brabham is first in the standings (173 points) followed by Robby Gordon (145), Creed (116), Robert Stout (103), Max Gordon (90), Aaron Bambach (74), Jett Noland (58), Bill Hynes (54), LeMastus (48), Luyendyk (43), Jerett Brooks and Biffle (42).
Nashville will be the fourth weekend of the SST season.
Other undercard classes previously announced for the Music City Grand Prix are the SRO GT Americas and the Trans-Am Series.
