Rumor: Homestead to follow Daytona 500 in 2021

In what makes perfect sense weather wise, rumor has it that the Homestead NASCAR race will move to the 2nd race on the 2021 NASCAR Cup schedule following the Daytona 500.

The Miami area has great weather in late February – much less humidity and mild temperatures – while the rest of the country is still a frozen tundra.

And since many northerners escaping the frozen tundra are already in Florida for the Daytona 500, why not make it a longer winter break and enjoy the Florida warmth?

Look for Homestead, owned by the same France Family, to market the race just that way.
