Skerlong injured in testing
The 2008 Cooper Tires Presents the Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda saw Skerlong score his first pole position (Edmonton – race two) and his first victory (New Jersey – from pole), in his second season of Atlantic competition. He had three race results out of the top-five but those were due to either contact or mechanical issues…he finished inside the top-five in every other race, including four podium finishes. “I was so excited to fight for a top-three finish in the Championship this weekend. I am quite sore from the accident but not being able to race is much more painful! I want to thank King Taco for their continued support, also my engineer Burke Harrison for giving me fast cars all season and thanks to Shane, Tyler and the entire PCM/USRT crew, they are terrific and it has been a good season."
