Summerton Awarded Most likely to Succeed Award
Jonathan Summerton |
At the year end Atlantic Championship powered by Mazda Awards Banquet held last week in the exquisite Debussy Ballroom at Chateau Elan near Road Atlanta Jonathan Summerton was definitely a winner.
The banquet, a well presented, great food and service event, was a tribute to Vicki O'Connor and her staff. The evening showed highlights of both the drivers in various locations and some of the teeth clenching accidents and crashes. The presentations were interspersed with excellent food.
Jonathan Summerton was awarded one of the highest and most esteemed awards, the prestigious Michael Rosen Memorial Trophy. This award recognizes both dedication and perseverance to succeed against all odds. Prior award recipients include Buddy Rice, Simon Pagenaud, Alex Figge, Michael Valiante and Raphael Matos.
In addition Jonathan received his 3rd place trophy for the year's Championship. On stage Jonathan thanked everyone involved for their dedication and invited Eddie Wachs, owner of Newman Wachs Racing, to join him on the podium. He then presented Eddie with his glass cased helmet signed by all the team in recognition of the support that he has given Jonathan throughout the season.
Afterwards Jonathan said, "To receive the Michael Rosen Memorial Award is truly a great honor especially considering prior winners, and I will continue my dedication as I move on up the ladder to my ultimate goal of F1. The gift of my helmet was the least I could do to thank Eddie for his support. He is a great man with a great wife. I really appreciate all their help and friendship." Jonathan Summerton PR
