Food poisoning strikes Villeneuve

Former Formula One world champion Jacques Villeneuve will have to skip this weekend's fourth round in the Speedcar series as the Canadian suffers from food poisoning.

Villeneuve is one of the two drivers at Durango in the Speedcar series but the team announced on Thursday morning that the former Williams, BAR, Renault and BMW Sauber driver is unable to race in Dubai because of a food intoxication. Villeneuve will be replaced by GP2 driver Hamad Al Fardan.
