Pocono to be a wash? (3rd Update)
06/05/16 UPDATE For what this is worth Rodney Childers, crew chief of the No. 4 Chevrolet driver by Kevin Harvick, doesn't think they'll be much racing at Pocono today. From the @RodneyChilders4 Twitter account:
"Well, sending my guys to the hotel for the day…Looking fwd to racing tomorrow here @poconoraceway with @jimmyjohns @TeamChevy."
Nothing official yet from NASCAR regarding today's race, which is currently delayed. However, it's looking more and more like there will be no race.
06/05/16 Due to fog and rain the Axalta 'We Paint Winners 400 at Pocono Raceway is currently under a rain delay. NASCAR does have 20 NASCAR Air Titan dryers and 10 conventional dryers at Pocono Raceway to speed up the drying process. However, more thunder showers remain in the forecast. We will keep you updated.
06/05/16 They are calling for heavy rain today in Long Pond, PA and there is a good chance the Axalta We Paint Winner 400 could be postponed. While our current read of the weather suggests NASCAR may be able to start the race we doubt they will be able to run it to a conclusion or even half of the 160 scheduled laps.
We'll keep you updated but as of now, things are not looking good in Pocono.
