Lowe’s: Edwards nails Nationwide pole

Roush Racing Ford ace Carl Edwards will start from the pole in tonight's NASCAR Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway after he recorded a lap of 183.799 mph in qualifying. The pole was the 17th of his career and sixth of the 2009 season.
Edwards' Roush Fenway teammate Matt Kenseth qualified second.
Rookie Justin Allgaier was third with David Gilliland and Kyle Busch rounding out the top five.
Tonight's 200-lap race is scheduled to take the green flag at 8 p.m. (ET).
