Strous' IndyCar gets a parking ticket in Rotterdam on Friday |
During a sponsor presentation in Rotterdam this afternoon, a traffic warden handed out a parking ticket to Junior Strous' IndyCar, which was – wrongly – parked on the sidewalk, in front of the sponsor's head-office … Wonder what the number-plate was she wrote down? AR1.com sources tell us that Strous may drive in IndyCar next year in a car fielded by Condor Motorsport boss Carlos Bobeda. Condor was a formidable Toyota Atlantic team with the goal of moving up to Champ Car, but since that series folded Bobeda has been looking for the opportunity to move up to IndyCar, and this appears like the right opportunity.
08/20/10 We reveal the first photos of the paint livery for Junior Strous' IndyCar. The livery shows that Shell, Husqvarna printen.nu and Bavaria's 0.0% alcohol free beer brand will be his sponsors. For Junior's IndyCar debut on Sunday in the streets of Rotterdam during the Bavaria City Racing event you can see they are using an old G-Force chassis.

08/18/10 This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' now. "I am proud to make the switch to the highest level of motorsport," said Strous. "Of course it is a unique opportunity that I can do that in the Netherlands Bavaria show. After that I'm busy with my race season for 2011 in IndyCar."
08/18/10 Rumor has it according to AR1.com sources that Junior Strous will reveal his IndyCar sponsor (Bavaria ? Shell ? KLM ?) for the rest of this season or for 2011 (more likely) on Friday in The Netherlands. On Sunday he will make his 'official' IndyCar debut in the car in the streets of Rotterdam during the Bavaria City Racing event.
There will be several sponsor presentations this week, before Junior will climb into the car on Sunday.
