Addington headed to Stewart-Haas?

UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' with today's announcement.

11/22/11 Steve Addington, who resigned from Penske Racing today, could be headed to Stewart-Haas Racing where he would become crew chief for 2011 Cup champion Tony Stewart. Stewart’s crew chief, Darian Grubb, confirmed after Stewart won Sunday’s race and wrapped up the championship that he would not be back with the organization.

Prior to moving to Penske, Addington worked with Busch’s younger brother, Kyle, at Joe Gibbs Racing and drivers J.J. Yeley and Bobby Labonte prior to that.

He won 12 races with Kyle Busch, including four in 2009 when the No. 18 team failed to qualify for the Chase.
