Another NASCAR team shutting down?
AutoRacing1 is hearing that the #40 Hillman Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team is ceasing operations. The team competed full-time the last two seasons with Landon Cassill piloting the #40 Chevrolet. Apparently, however, the team in now shutting down.
No word yet on what will happen to Cassill, who has a best finish of fourth in 189 career Sprint Cup starts. The shuttering of the #40 team would mark another full-time 2015 entry not making the grid in 2016, in what has been a difficult offseason for NASCAR.
