Mexico City race to be on ESPN – in Spanish

The NASCAR Busch Series race March 4 in Mexico City will be televised on ESPN – in Spanish.

The Spanish-speaking telecast, produced by ESPN Deportes, will be televised on ESPN's main network, while the English-speaking telecast will be on ESPN2, which will be home to 29 of the 35 races this year, ESPN/ABC Senior Motorsports Producer Neil Goldberg said Tuesday.

"I don't recall that from ever being done before." Goldberg said. "That's a very unique approach to that broadcast. I've done the last two races in Mexico.. … It's just phenomenal the growth of the sport not only within the United States but across all the borders."

It is likely the race also will be shown on ESPN Deportes, but ESPN has yet to announce how that telecast will differ from the one on ESPN. Scenedaily.com
