NASCAR gives “The Call” again

A reader writes, How convenient that both Yates Fords are on the front row of the Daytona 500. Never one to miss out on a good headline and to bring attention to a sponsor who came in and saved the Yates team from going belly up over the winter, it seems too convenient that NASCAR's timing and scoring conveniently spit out the two fastest times for the two Yates cars giving the team, Ford, and sponsor M&Ms and Snickers some much needed publicity. After a dismal year in 2006 in just three months they have turned the program around and are now tops? These feel-good underdog stories happen far too often to be believable, and they insult my intelligence. Brad Stokes
