New car, new logo and new look for Conquest Racing

With its new Panoz DP01 car ready to take its first laps Monday morning at the MSR Houston track during the Champ Car World Series open test, the Conquest Racing Team saw it as the perfect occasion to reveal its new logo. With a new car and a new look, the Team is ready to take on the 2007 season, a season that starts with the familiar face of Nelson Philippe returning to the Conquest Team for the two-day test.

The new and improved logo which will be used by both their Champ Car and Atlantic teams was created by Manifest, a strategic marketing and creative services agency that specializes in motorsports.

“After celebrating our ten years of existence, we thought it was a good time to update our image and give it a more modern look all while keeping our team colors of orange and grey," explained Conquest Racing owner Eric Bachelart. “With our new car taking its first laps and with our new look, we can say that today marks the ‘official’ beginning of our 2007 Champ Car season."

The team will be kicking off their 2007 pre-season testing with Nelson Philippe behind the wheel of the Conquest car. Philippe, who became the youngest winner in Champ Car history, previously drove for the outfit in his rookie year in 2004 as well as in 2005. Testing gets underway at 9:00 a.m. eastern time Monday morning.
