Villeneuve aiming for win at LeMans
Former Formula One world champion Jacques Villeneuve says that he can win the Le Mans 24-hour race, despite his Peugeot team's new car and anticipated reliability issues.
Villeneuve told Radio Canada that, unlike his team, he will not be treating this year's race as a mere learning experience and will be going all out to win.
"Peugeot and I don't have the same approach," said the 1997 Formula One world champion, who will join NASCAR after his run at Le Mans from June 16-17.
"I might not have the chance to do Le Mans in 2008 so for me, it's 2007 that counts, it's very important and I'm going to do everything to win.
"Now, if the car is not ready, that's a shame, but that's the way it is. We'll still give it a shot."
