General Motors Corp. chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner was paid $9.6 million in 2006, according to a filing made Friday afternoon with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The compensation included a $1.3 million base salary, grants of stock and options valued at $7.5 million and $770,000 in other compensation, including security and use of company aircraft. GM lost $2 billion in 2006, but that was an improvement over the $10.4 billion loss from 2005.
