Duno told to go faster, then she crashed

The crewmembers speaking to Venezuelan rookie Milka Duno on the radio during Sunday's Indianapolis 500 asked her to become more aggressive.

On lap two, she was told, "You gotta run flat out."

On lap nine: "Flat out all the way around, Milka."

On lap 48: "Your line looks really good, but you gotta run flat out."

"Flat out, Milka, flat out," she was told on the 60th lap. Soon after, Duno's crew wanted her to move on the car in front of her, saying, "You're faster than he is. Make a run at him."

On lap 66, Duno crashed while trying to make the pass, she said. Duno spun in turn one and hit the wall, finishing the race 31st. The bottom line is that she had enough talent to follow cars around the track and move up with timely pitstops, but when it came time to try and make a pass after her crew kept telling her she had to use 100% throttle and be more aggressive, she stuffed it in the wall. At least she made it to lap 66. Many thought she wouldn't even get through the first turn of lap 1. Wait to you see her lap times on the road courses.
