Traveling Light makes new CCWS TV spot

Renowned production house, Traveling Light has combined with Champ Car to produce new television advertising for the 2007 season as part of a new Champ Car campaign entitled "Quotes" which ties print, television and internet advertising to a famous historical quotes. Traveling Light's 30-second television spot stands out as the showcase.

The multimedia advertising campaign has been produced to show the exhilarating speed and competition of Champ Car while focusing directly on the heroic nature of the Champ Car drivers. The first execution in the campaign features a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that captures the essence of bravery that is at the core of every successful Champ Car driver with the words, "A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave longer."

Referencing Champ Car's storied past while looking into the future, both TV and Print ads were shot during the pre-season and have begun running in publications, on the internet and will begin airing on the ABC/ESPN family of networks, Champ Car's television partner.

Traveling Light has a wealth of Champ Car experience, having produced the Champ Car 2005 Season Preview show, the fan favorite one-hour Speed Channel special Champ Car Garage, as well as numerous television commercials, one of which won a National Telly Award. In 2004. Traveling Light founder Adam Friedman directed several Champ Car promos for Spike TV, closing down New York City's Times Square and sending a 750 hp Champ Car racing through the streets. The current spot was directed by Friedman and edited by John Orfanopoulos "Everyone at Traveling Light is Champ Car fans, and I think our excitement for the sport comes across in these spots," said Adam Friedman, President of Traveling Light Media. "We worked very hard to show both the beauty and speed of Champ Car as well as capture the spirit of the drivers who make the Champ Car World Series exceptional."

Traveling Light, located in Burbank, California, has produced over 80 hours of television programming for networks as diverse as Arts & Entertainment (A&E), The History Channel, Outdoor Life Network (OLN), Home Box Office (HBO), Spike TV, The Discovery Channel, The Travel Channel, INHD and more. TL is a major producer of the A&E Biography series including episodes on Bruce Willis, Kevin Costner, Sylvester Stallone, and an Emmy-nominated two-hour Special Biography on John Travolta. Print and on-line versions of the campaign were developed by Manifest Design whose headquarters are located in Oceanside, California.
