Fehan hopes Vette can retain LeMans title

Don’t bother to ask Doug Fehan for a 24 Hours of Le Mans prediction. He’ll kindly point you in another direction. After five GT1 victories in six years, Corvette Racing’s Fehan isn’t about to break tradition and go out on a limb.

“This is a place that commands a huge amount of respect," said the team’s program manager. “You can go home, you can work hard, you can do your homework, you can be prepared and you can set up the car to the best of your ability, then you wait and see what happens. To make a prediction about victory would be foolish. And anyone who does do that is indeed foolish. It’s 25 percent great car, 25 percent great team and 50 percent luck. If you don’t have all those ingredients, you won’t be cooking much."

The 75th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is scheduled for 3 p.m. CET (9 a.m. ET) on Saturday, June 16 from the Circuit de la Sarthe.
