Construction begins for Surfers race

Friday marks the first day of construction of the Lexmark Indy 300 circuit on October 18-21, 2007. Over the coming two months leading into the Lexmark Indy 300, 8 bridges will be erected, 2,515 concrete barriers installed, 25 grandstands built to provide seating for more than 12 000 people, 160 corporate suites furnished, 10km of debris fencing and 16km of security fencing placed, many more temporary structures fitted, and large-scale power and telecommunications systems activated.
