Honda boss admits they have failed

Hopelessly lost Honda Racing chairman Yoshihiro Wada has admitted that the new components the team tried in testing before Fuji did not improve their lemon RA107 chassis.

A large number of aerodynamic modifications were evaluated at Jerez as Honda looked for answers that would help it get back on the pace in 2008.

But in the press conference at Fuji today, Wada conceded that the upgrades had not produced the desired results.

"As you know we are struggling to find good balance with the car this season, and at last week's Jerez test we tried some of next year's design ideas and parts," he said.

"Unfortunately most of the parts did not work well, so we'll see."
