Klien, Liuzzi, to test again at Jerez

(GMM) Both Christian Klien and Vitantonio Liuzzi are expected to test again for the Force India team at the last test of 2007 early next month.

Among others, the pair are in contention for a race seat with the Silverstone based outfit for 2008, and appeared in the newly liveried burgundy and white cars last week at Circuit de Catalunya.

Austrian Klien was marginally the quickest, but both he and Liuzzi, Toro Rosso's ousted 2007 racer, will be fending off strong competition for the seats at Jerez if the likes of veterans Ralf Schumacher and Giancarlo Fisichella also appear.

"The times were close but it's really nice to be quickest after being out of an F1 cockpit for so long and I am very much looking forward to the Jerez test," 24-year-old Klien said.

Liuzzi's participation at Jerez is not yet confirmed but he told the Italian website f1grandprix.it that it is likely.

"I should test with the team also in Jerez," he said. "We are still waiting, but it's very likely.

"The chances with them are good, but there are also some other chances for the future, so I'm very confident," the Italian, who had been linked with Williams before the British team confirmed Kazuki Nakajima for 2008, added.

Liuzzi said: "Some other teams got in contact with me. I have to say at the moment I'm quite focussed on Force India because they proved to be a much more professional and competitive team than I thought."
