McLaren again at tail of pits

(GMM) For the second consecutive race weekend, McLaren will at Barcelona again be housed in the farthest pit garages, as per its last place in the 2007 constructors' championship following the spying penalty.

Following a recent letter from FIA president Max Mosley to Bernie Ecclestone, the Mercedes-powered team's special dispensation to slot into the fifth highest garage allocation this year was cancelled after the Malaysian grand prix.

Mercedes' competition boss Norbert Haug on Tuesday confirmed to Motorsport Aktuell that the team will squeeze into the farthest garages at the Circuit de Catalunya this weekend.

McLaren, however, has been promised by Ecclestone that its huge 'Brand Centre' will be allocated enough paddock space, after fears that it would not fit into the areas normally reserved for the less successful teams' more modest motor homes.

Meanwhile, it emerged that Force India will unveil a new motor home in Spain this weekend.
