Mosley to attend Monaco GP next month
The embattled FIA president is this weekend in Jordan for the Kingdom's inaugural world rally, in a visit that is being interpreted by some as a low-key return to official duties in the wake of the highly publicized sex scandal.
The famous Monte Carlo race is to take place between May 22-25; just days before Mosley will face a vote of confidence at the FIA senate on June 3.
The 68-year-old on Friday is quoted as saying that he will attend Monaco, as he did last year, because he lives there.
"I was only in Spa (last year) because of the McLaren business. I never had any intentions of going to Barcelona because I had nothing to do there," Mosley is quoted as saying in Jordan by The Times.
The Briton also hit out at media reports that he was "snubbed" by the King of Jordan on his visit this week.
"I was never supposed to meet him. It was never in the program, so how can that be a snub?" he said.
