Rookies Mario Dominguez and Alex Lloyd became the second and third drivers to crash this week when they had two separate accidents at about 1:30 p.m. during today's practice session.
Lloyd's wreck was more severe, prompting last year's Firestone Indy Lights champion to be taken off the track on a stretcher. As the 23-year-old Brit headed high into the first turn, he spun and slammed into the SAFER barrier with his left rear.

The impact ripped off the left wing of his No. 16 Chip Ganassi Racing car and shot sparks along the track.
His car continued down the south chute and hit the second turn, nearly ripping off the left tires.
Lloyd was taken out of the car, put on a stretcher and taken to the infield hospital.
His accident came moments after the safety crew removed debris from Dominguez's wreck in the south chute.
As Dominguez was exiting pit row on the rumble strip, his car got loose. The 31-year-old Mexican's No. 96 Pacific Coast Motorsports car took a hard left turn and hit the inside wall, left front tire first.
Dominguez walked away from the accident unharmed, but the front of his car sustained damage. He was examined at Clarian Medical Center and has been cleared to drive. The Indianapolis Star
