French TV deal confirmed

French A1GP fans can watch every race this season on digital free-to-air channel NT1, it was announced today.

Races will be broadcast on the Sunday of each event at approximately 15.00, with some races being shown live and some pre-recorded.

With over 19.6 million viewers every week, NT1 is the TNT network’s third most popular channel.

Richard Maroko, General Programs Manager of the AB Group said: “NT1 continues to invest in top-level sporting events and is happy to broadcast the A1GP events in France. The high level of this competition organized around national teams is what attracted us in the first place. We’re delighted with this agreement and we can’t wait for the first race. Good luck to the French team!"

A1GP’s director of broadcasting Richard Dorfman added: “We’re very happy and proud to have reached a partnership agreement with one of the most promising channels on the French audiovisual landscape."
