NASCAR dismisses suspended race officials

NASCAR has dismissed the two officials it suspended following an investigation into claims of sexual and racial harassment by former Nationwide Series official Mauricia Grant, a NASCAR official confirmed Saturday.

Grant, an African-American official who worked for NASCAR for about three years before being fired in October 2007, filed a $225 million federal lawsuit against NASCAR in June. Grant details more than 50 instances of alleged racial and sexual harassment in her complaint.

After the lawsuit, NASCAR began an internal investigation into her claims. The two officials were the only ones who were reprimanded by NASCAR as part of the investigation, which is now complete.

In court filings, NASCAR denies virtually all of Grant's allegations
