Dry qualifications expected in Singapore

(GMM) Despite rain forecasts earlier this week, and torrential conditions overnight on Thursday, qualifying for F1's first night grand prix in Singapore is now expected to remain dry.

Many drivers had voiced concerns about driving in the rain under lights, most notably GPDA stalwart Jarno Trulli.

Heavy rain greeted the crews as they began landing in Singapore on Wednesday, and looked set to continue as an early thunderstorm hit the circuit on Friday.

The latest reports, however, suggest that the conditions will remain dry, though humid with ambient temperatures expected to reach 32 degrees.
