Matos lands IndyCar ride

Champ Car's Atlantics Champion in 2007 and the Indy Racing League's Indy Lights Champion Raphael Matos has landed a ride in the IndyCar Series for next season.

Matos, the 27-year-old Brazilian, will drive the No. 12 Luczo Dragon Racing car co-owned by Stephen J. Luczo and Jay Penske, replacing Tomas Scheckter, who may be out of the series after many years of mediocre performance.
