Haug slams Massa’s antics
Hamilton spun on the opening lap of an eventful grand prix in Fuji after being shunted by the Ferrari driver as he attempted an overly ambitious passing move.
Due to the timing of the British driver's spin he was forced to wait for the entire field to filter past him before rejoining the race – putting him dead last as Massa continued.
The Brazilian was handed a drive-through penalty for his role in the incident.
And despite Hamilton also being penalized for apparently forcing Massa's Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen off the road at the first corner, Haug was quick to blame Massa for the McLaren man's poor showing.
"A chaotic start and one lap later Felipe ruined Lewis' race when he first ran wide and then cut the chicane short and pushed Lewis into a spin," he said. "The next grand prix [in China] will be held already next weekend and neither Felipe nor Ferrari benefited too much from the result. Despite Felipe's action, Lewis still leads the drivers' championship."
