SRO Announces sponsorship deals for British F3 / GT
In a three year deal, US tire manufacturer Cooper Tire, will become the title sponsor and tire supplier of the prestigious British F3 International Series. The agreement will last through till the end of the 2011 season.
SRO also concluded an agreement which sees Avon Tires, owned and manufactured by Cooper Tire, extend their title sponsorship agreement with the fast growing British GT Championship. The Championship showcases the likes of super sports cars Ferrari, Aston Martin and Lamborghini in head-to-head battles at Britain’s leading circuits.
“We have enjoyed the first three years of working with the British GT Championship," said Cooper Europe managing director, Julian Baldwin. “The mix of cars and their very different handling characteristics really tests our expertise, but so far our crew has risen to the challenge, and they will relish another three seasons of doing so with a field of such high-powered machinery. We are also delighted with the British F3 International Series partnership. Cooper’s racing tires deserve to be allied with a high-profile championship in Europe and you don’t get much bigger than British F3."
Joining Championship Title Partners Cooper Tire and Avon Tires will be motor sport Insurance specialists Aon, who come onboard as an Official Partner to both the British F3 International Series and British GT Championship.
Sam Pitman, Aon Private Clients said; “Aon have reached this agreement with SRO to extend our brand and to offer a dedicated and specialist insurance service to its teams next season. This is a fantastic opportunity for all to take advantage of the services offered by Aon, one of the world’s largest insurance brokers. Aon have a dedicated motor sport team that has many years of experience in this specialist area and we look forward to working with the British F3 and British GT paddock to provide the cover and service they require"
Stephane Ratel, Chairman of SRO, added; “SRO is proud to announce these partnership agreements. It is testament to the continued sporting and commercial strength of both Championships that we have been able to secure such a prestigious portfolio of long term partners – especially when considering the testing economic environment we are all currently experiencing. We look forward to working with Cooper Tire, Avon Tires and Aon in the coming years."
