FOX best NASCAR broadcaster
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series averaged a 4.3 U.S. rating and 6.9 million viewers for its points races across four nets, off 2.3% and 2.8%, respectively from a 4.4 rating and 7.1 million viewers last year. TNT and Fox were the only networks to see gains in viewership from '07. This year's ten races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup on ABC averaged a 3.7 rating and 6.0 viewers, down 2.6% and 1.9%, respectively, from a 3.8 rating and 6.1 million viewers last season.

The NASCAR Nationwide Series on ESPN2 averaged a 1.5 cable rating for 23 telecasts, up 7% from last year. The coverage also saw a double-digit increase in males 25-54. On Speed this season, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series had its highest-rated season ever, earning a 0.8 cable rating for 22 race telecasts.
