Global Race Car Auction attracting Global Interest
Damon Hill in the GH2 Formula 1 car at Goodwood |

Interest is mounting from both buyers and sellers around the globe for the first race and rally car auction of 2009 which will take place in Manchester on 18-19 February. With the current world economic climate taking a dive, many competitors are cashing in their assets in the hope that the more affluent society will purchase their pride and joy. Vehicles being entered range from a Mini UK challenge car to Formula 1 machinery, with particular interest coming from the world of rallying.
One of the 'star' vehicles on offer is the only complete example of the famous GH2 Formula 1 car which, sadly, was never to race after Graham Hill, up-and-coming grand prix star Tony Brise and two team members were tragically killed in a light aircraft on their way back from testing at Paul Ricard. This beautiful working example was built in 1975, and in 2005 Damon Hill drove the car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
