A crime……
A reader writes, Dear AR1.com, In this Sports Illustrated article Joe Posnanski wrote hailing 2008 as an historic year in sports, and yet mentions nothing of Lewis Hamilton. He mentions other sports that have no American in the picture, or that are even watched by many (or any) Americans. He does mention, among other things, Jimmie Johnson's championship, but nothing of Lewis Hamilton.
People need to tell this guy and SI that they need to give racing its due. This is a socially significant sport with deep roots. It is quite possibly the only sport that has a direct impact on our society. This year especially, with the KERS system, F1 puts itself on the cutting edge of the world's challenges.
I would think this to be especially significant in the same year we see our first black President.
He is a full-time staffer at the Kansas City Star, and also writes for SI.

All AR1 racing readers need to mention this grave omission to him personally…don't you think? Scott Morrison
