NJMP charity event for children
The event will coincide with the actual Daytona 500 race in Florida, which will be shown on the Clubhouse’s four big screen televisions.
Guests will have an opportunity to race on the NJMP simulator set up as the Daytona Speedway course and try their skills against champion driver David Donohue and win valuable prizes. Closest competitor to Donohue’s time will win two NJMP 2009 season passes and experience a “day in the life" of an NJMP Drivers Club Member.
In addition, the top 10 fastest drivers on the simulator will win a starting position to compete in the Inaugural Green Flag Charity Challenge Cup at the NJMP Karting Track in a 20-lap feature race during a spring 2009 race weekend benefit event.
Guests will also register to win over 50 door prizes, including tickets to spectator events during NJMP’s 2009 racing season.
Cost for the event is $30 per person, and includes not only the David Donohue Challenge, but also a non-stop “500" buffet which includes roasted stuffed pork loin, Chicken Francoise, stuffed shells with basil marinara, soup, rice, wings and much more.
Also taking place will be a Car Club competition of custom and historic racecars on display for “best of show" as judged by guests in attendance. The winning entrant will receive $500. Entry fee for the car show component will be $20 per car, and is limited to the first 50 cars to register.
All Daytona Racing event activity will directly benefit the NJMP Green Flag Children’s Charities. This will be the first of many charity events held at NJMP during the 2009 racing season, all culminating in the second annual Green Flag Children’s Charities “Contribution Day" during the 2009 winter holiday season.
Tickets are limited, so reservations are encouraged as soon as possible. To register for the Daytona 500 Green Flag Charity event at NJMP, call 856-327-7216 or 856-327-7208, and ask for Carolyn or Lori.
