Alex Tagliani and Autonet.ca Offer an Exclusive

Canadian IndyCar driver Alex Tagliani is teaming up with Autonet.ca, Canoe.ca and Sun Media automotive destination, and offering exclusive insight and direct contact with motor sports fans in the newspapers and websites of this group. Canadian fans will be able to live the experience, feel the passion and live the real life of a top racing driver by visiting Autonet.ca/Tagliani.

The veteran open-wheel racing and NASCAR driver is launching a weekly column appearing in more than 200 Sun Media dailies and community newspapers across Canada. Autonet.ca has developed a special section on its site providing exclusive information, pictures, and videos from the driver's perspective. In addition, Tagliani – the only Canadian driver in the IndyCar circuit – will also talk directly with fans through Facebook and deliver personal comments via Twitter.

"I am excited to team up with Autonet.ca in a unique way to share my greatest passion with Canadian fans. This lets me interact personally with my fans, which means a lot to me, being the only Canadian driver in the Series" says Tagliani, who's getting ready for this weekend's Grand Prix in Long Beach, California. "It's a great way to share the excitement and get people involved in discussions about racing," he adds.

"We are thrilled to develop this unique concept with Alex Tagliani and are proud to enable Canadians fans to follow him through the season and learn about life of this elite racing driver," says Simon Rivard, Vice-President of Marketing at Canoe.ca. "Alex has always been close to his fans, providing rare, direct insights to his fans and demonstrating in a tremendous way that he is accessible.

"This also builds on Autonet.ca's commitment to motor sports and the whole area of automotive expertise," adds Rivard. "Having Alex on our team brings a lot of additional value to people who share our passion."
