Iowa lands Nationwide race sponsor

Iowa Speedway officials announced that U.S. Cellular will serve as the title sponsor of the track’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Aug. 1. The U.S. Cellular 250 is expected to draw the largest racing crowd in Iowa history, track officials said. U.S. Cellular has been a partner with the Newton, Iowa, track since the facility opened in 2006.

“The U.S. Cellular 250 will be an historic event, and it brings together as partners four successful entities: NASCAR, the Nationwide Series, U.S. Cellular, and, of course, Iowa Speedway," said Jerry Jauron, Iowa Speedway’s president and chief financial officer. “A ticket to this race will provide a lifetime memory for racing fans and we are pleased to have a Midwest company join us as a major partner for such a prestigious event."
