Road America Partners with James Hunt Racing

Road America is pleased to announce a partnership with James Hunt of James Hunt Racing, LLC. Hunt will serve as an ambassador of the track as he participates in multiple, national race events. He will promote the Road America experience, presenting the historical legacy of the famous circuit and the enduring loyalty of racers and fans to premier road racing in the venue's natural, park-like setting.

As an aspiring racer, Hunt will specifically reach out to the younger audience to educate them about road racing, club racing and opportunities in mechanics and race car preparation within motorsports. Visits to Road America will include on-track racing activities, media events and school visits. Hunt will be on-site for the SVRA Spring Vintage Weekend and Family Tailgate Party, May 15-17; and the Road Race Showcase featuring the American Le Mans Series, August 13-16.

James Hunt was second place finisher in the 2008 Speed television program "Setup," a racing reality show that focused on finding the next up-and-coming racer. In addition, he was selected by SPEEDtv.com to do a "Year In the Life" on-line feature that is currently following his personal pursuits in professional auto racing. Hunt recently earned a second place in class in the SCCA 13 Hours of VIR endurance race driving an Acura Integra, as well as the BF Goodrich Take Control Award on his way to a 9th place finish in the highly competitive Ford Racing Mustang Challenge.

After an early start in downhill mountain bike racing, Hunt moved into auto racing with intense driver training. This training quickly grew into competitive racing, instructing and coaching. While growing his racing career, Hunt also works to evolve his company James Hunt Racing, LLC and the talent of his students.
