Vettel carrying more fuel than Brawns

(GMM) Sebastian Vettel's jovial post-qualifying mind games were revealed on Saturday evening, after the FIA published the actual fuel weights of the Spanish GP field.

Red Bull driver Vettel had teased pole sitter Jenson Button in the post-session press conference, by revealing that he will be stopping for fuel on lap 27.

Brawn's Button outqualified Vettel by just over a tenth in Barcelona, and grinned as he hit back at the German by saying his first fuel stop will be five laps later, on lap 32.

"So it is all fine, bring on tomorrow," said the Englishman.

But the fallacy of the phantom one-stop strategies was soon revealed, when the FIA confirmed that the pair will be stopping much earlier than mid-race.

In fact, Vettel is carrying 5.5 kilos more fuel than Button, and also more than the sister Brawn of Rubens Barrichello, who qualified behind the Red Bull in third place.

Button, meanwhile, is carrying marginally less fuel than Barrichello.
