IndyCar mechanic killed in car crash

Bud Bivens, 44 of Crooked River, Oregon was killed in a car accident in Colorado on Saturday, May 2nd.

Bud was a popular guy in the paddock…always smiling. His storied career as a racing mechanic included long stints at Patrick Racing and HVM Racing. Bud will be missed.

Unfortunately there was not only one death in the HVM family recently. Bill Dieterle passed away after a long battle with cancer earlier this month.
