Grand-Am Rolex Series Awards Banquet Set
The Grand-Am Rolex Series will conclude its 12-race 2009 campaign with the Oct. 10 running of the Grand Prix of Miami at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The season finale on the 2.21-mile road circuit will start at 1 p.m. ET and will be televised live on SPEED.
Monday's Champions Banquet will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a sit-down dinner and awards program which will honor the top drivers, teams and manufacturers in the Daytona Prototype and GT classes. Fans will also be invited to purchase tickets for the event.
"We have had an enjoyable and successful run holding our post-season festivities in Las Vegas," said Grand-Am president Roger Edmondson. "With our 2009 season ending in Miami, it makes sense logistically to hold the awards ceremony in South Florida, and we feel the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is an outstanding location. We're confident the soiree will be a memorable one."
Grand-Am Road Racing has a block of rooms available at the Hard Rock. To reserve one to three rooms at a discounted rate, call (800) 937-0010 and state you are with the NASCAR Grand-Am group, or use code GNAMC9. To reserve more than three rooms, visit www.grand-am.com/banquet to download the reservations fax form. The deadline to make reservations is Sept. 17.
The 2009 Rolex Series Champions Banquet is open to teams, sponsors, manufacturers and fans of the Rolex Sports Car Series. Tickets for the Rolex Champions Banquet are available for $150 per individual and tables of 10 may be ordered for groups wishing to sit together.
