Downloads of great Indy 500 radio broadcasts available now
Available race broadcasts can be accessed from a link at www.indy500.com or www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com. Each race download is in MP3 audio format, which can be listened to on a computer, transferred to an MP3 player such as an iPod or burned to a CD. Free, color CD case art also is available for each broadcast.
Each race download costs $9.99. Broadcasts are anywhere from three to more than five hours long.
Downloads are available from the last five decades, covering the front-engine roadsters all the way to today's 225-mph, rear-engine machines. Races offered: 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008. More broadcasts will be available in the future.
The broadcasts also cover the range of legendary IMS Radio Network voices, including Sid Collins, Paul Page, Lou Palmer, Bob Jenkins and the current network anchor, Mike King.
