Miniscule NASCAR truck TV ratings rise.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on SPEED enjoyed its highest-rated television season ever in 2009, averaging a Nielsen Household Rating of 0.81 (597,000 households), up one percent from last year’s 0.80 and 35 percent from the 0.60 the series averaged in 2003, its first year on SPEED.
“It’s just great racing … and more and more fans are watching," said SPEED President Hunter Nickell. “The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is the highest rated racing series on the network and, like all the race teams, the SPEED crew will get some rest and go back to Daytona ready to keep that momentum going."
