Schumacher spends time in Northamptonshire

(GMM) Michael Schumacher last week spent two days at the Brackley headquarters of his new formula one employer Mercedes GP.

"This a world champion team but it does not seem to be spoilt by success at all; it seems to be hungry for more instead!" the 41-year-old said on his official website.

German seven time world champion Schumacher's last visit to the factory in England – previously the headquarters of the Brawn, Honda and BAR – was when he signed his 2010 contract prior to Christmas.

He said he also took the time to visit the headquarters of team engine makers Mercedes-Benz HighPerformanceEngines in Brixworth, which is located about a 25 mile drive north in the same county of Northamptonshire.

"What I also liked was that you hear a lot of people speaking German there. That is nice for once, I am not so much used to that at my work, and I find it quite convenient," said Schumacher.
