Dover race named the “Autism Speaks 400 Presented by Hershey’s® Milk & Milkshakes”

For the fourth straight year, Dover International Speedway's Spring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will be named for Autism Speaks, the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization. Dover announced today that the May 16, 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event will be called the “Autism Speaks 400 presented by Hershey's Milk & Milkshakes." The unique partnership between Dover, Autism Speaks and Hershey's Milk & Milkshakes will convey Autism Speaks' message of public awareness and education about autism to the audience at the track in Dover, and to the millions watching the race on FOX.

“Autism Speaks is honored to again work with Dover International Speedway, and now Hershey's Milk & Milkshakes, to raise awareness and funds for our cause," said Mark Roithmayer, president of Autism Speaks. “We are truly grateful to the entire team for their tireless efforts on behalf of Autism Speaks, and can't wait for the green flag at Dover on May 16."

“We're glad that Autism Speaks and Hershey's Milk & Milkshakes see our NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race as a great opportunity to promote autism awareness and their brands," said Denis McGlynn, president and CEO of Dover Motorsports, Inc. “Working with the staff at Autism Speaks is always a pleasure, and now having Hershey's Milk & Milkshakes on board makes this partnership even stronger. We look forward to helping our partners meet their goals as we look ahead to the May 14-16, 2010 race weekend."

“Hershey's Milk & Milkshakes is proud to partner with Autism Speaks and Dover International Speedway, and to have the opportunity to help generate awareness for this important cause," said Chris Ross, spokesperson for HP Hood LLC, a license partner to The Hershey Company. “Our licensing partner, The Hershey Company, has been committed to helping children and children in need for over 100 years. Together we are excited to share with NASCAR fans the authentic and delicious taste of new Hershey's single-serve flavored milk and milkshakes."

Dover International Speedway will again feature Autism Speaks' puzzle piece logo on the track's retaining walls, special signage and on limited-edition souvenir merchandise. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams will again be encouraged to sport the Autism Speaks logo on their cars and trucks throughout the race weekend.
