NASCAR.com sets new records

NASCAR.COM hit the track this weekend at full speed delivering record traffic for its online coverage of the Gatorade Duel and Daytona 500. On Sunday, NASCAR.COM had the highest number of daily unique visitors and video streams ever for a Daytona race day with 1.5 million unique visitors and over 807K video streams, according to Omniture. The storylines on and off the track included the climatic finish to the ‘Great American Race’ between Jamie McMurray and Dale Earnhardt Jr on Sunday in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the debut on Saturday of heralded rookie Danica Patrick in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. RaceBuddy in partnership with SPEED and presented by Gillette, was also made available for the first time for the Gatorade Duel at Daytona.

Additional NASCAR.COM weekend highlights include:

o NASCAR.COM had 2.4 million video views from Thurs. Feb. 11 through Sun., Feb. 14, an increase of 135% YOY.

o An average of 1.1 million daily unique visitors viewed NASCAR.COM coverage online from Thurs. Feb. 11 through Sun. Feb. 14.

o With the addition of RaceBuddy for the Gatorade Duel at Daytona, NASCAR.COM broke the single day streaming record on Thursday with 847K total streams, an increase of 228% YOY

o During Danica Patrick's NASCAR Nationwide Series debut, NASCAR.COM saw a double-digit increase on Saturday. Unique visitors were up to 976K, the highest number of unique visitors ever for a Daytona Saturday, page viewers were up to 7.1 million and video views up 87%.

o The Nationwide pages on NASCAR.COM also had 1.7 million page views and 519K daily unique users on Sat. Feb. 13.

o On Daytona Race Day, the “Races" and “Video" sections were the top visited sites on NASCAR.COM with an increase of 14% and 194% YOY.
