Total harmony at McLaren

Lewis Hamilton insists that he and fellow World Champion team-mate Jenson Button are maintaining a team effort at McLaren, as opposed to aiming to beat one another this season. The 2008 Champion finished eighth on the timesheets at Barcelona on Friday and will be handing the Mercedes-powered car back over to his compatriot as the weekend begins. The talking points on the run-up to the upcoming campaign, Hamilton remains confident that he and his new team-mate are preserving complete teamwork.

"I haven't seen him too much over the last few days but we get on really well," Lewis explained to GPUpdate.net at the Circuit de Catalunya. "Jenson is very open about his feelings and vice-versa.

"I'm really enjoying working with him and I think he's a great influence on the team. He's really very, very competitive and a well-rounded guy." GPUpdate.net
