Biffle buys himself a race track, starts series

Greg Biffle announced that he has acquired partial ownership of Sunset Speedway in Banks Oregon. Biffle also announced the formation of the "DAA Spec Motor Series presented by Sherwin Williams" a new late model series with title sponsorship from DAA Northwest and Sherwin-Williams. Sunset Speedway, a third of a mile clay dirt track located just outside Portland, Oregon will host 35 events in 2010. Saturday nights between April and September see more than 100 cars compete for championship points in six divisions. With partner Jerry Schram, the track has already made significant improvements to both the facility and point's programs. The DAA Spec Motor Series presented by Sherwin-Williams will see late model drivers from around the Northwest compete in 22 events on six tracks for a piece of the $25,000 series point's fund. Sunset Speedway will begin the 2010 season starting April 10. The inaugural season of the DAA Spec Motor Series presented by Sherwin-Williams starts April 24 at the Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon. Roush Racing PR
