Conquest team announces new sponsors

Conquest Racing is pleased to announce its new partnership with leading guarana soft drink provider, Dolly, for this weekend’s race in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dolly has been a successful major sponsor within Brazilian motorsport series for many years, finding great success during their previous three seasons in Brazilian Stock Cars. This weekend’s IZOD IndyCar season opening event marks Dolly’s entrance into international open-wheel racing, with Sao Paulo native Mario Romancini behind the wheel of the #34 Dolly Conquest Racing car.

Team owner Eric Bachelart had to say about the partnership: “I am extremely pleased to announce our association with Dolly this weekend. Dolly has become known among the top levels of motorsport here in Brazil and we are very proud to represent such a great brand with our Brazilian driver Mario Romancini. We are looking forward to working closely together on this very special first appearance of the IZOD IndyCar series in Sao Paulo. Brazilian culture has a strong presence in the IZOD IndyCar Series, and we could not be more happy to have Mario and the Conquest Team presenting Dolly to all the IndyCar fans."

Dolly is equally joyous about the partnership according to Senior Executive, Rogerio Raucci: “We’re very happy about the partnership we have made between Dolly, Mario Romancini, and Conquest Racing, as auto racing is one of Brazil’s biggest passions. Our company started sponsorship within Brazilian feeder series a few years ago. After a little time and a lot of success we decided to progress to the next level with sponsorship of a main Brazilian Stock Car team. This weekend Dolly continues that progression with this move into one of the world’s most important categories: the IZOD IndyCar Series. This progression shows our motivation and continuing desire to invest in the sport. The story that we have found Mario is a one very similar to our own. It is a story of commitment, drive, and dedication. One of a driver which has fought hard to achieve his dream and is committed to succeed in what he loves. He is a promising young driver, and it’s challenging for him to be participating in such an event."

“It brings me great pride and joy to be driving in the #34 Dolly Conquest Racing car this weekend," said rookie Mario Romancini. “I would like to thank Dolly for their support. If it weren’t for them, I would not be here today. It’s a great feeling to come with the support of such a big company and a big name. Again I want to thank them for their confidence in the job I can do and I think we will have a fun weekend together at the track.“

Conquest Racing will also be sporting the colors of MON Track Wear this weekend after the team came to an agreement stating that the Brazilian sports apparel manufacturer will provide all team clothing and uniforms for 2010. Along with Dolly, MON takes its first step into the world of open-wheel racing after previous seasons in the Brazilian Stock Car, Formula Truck, and Rally categories.
“MON is very proud to be a partner of such a traditional and important team of IZOD IndyCar," said Eros Narloch, Owner of MON Track Wear, “This partnership is important for us because it allows us to bring Brazil’s main racing fashion brand international, starting with the US. We appreciate the opportunity that Conquest Racing has given us, and we look forward to the upcoming season."

Lauren Boyd, Marketing Director of Conquest Racing, is excited about the partnership as well. “We wanted to find the right company to outfit our team this season. We needed a manufacturer with industry experience, who also had the ability to create something that was unique while also representing our team and the series well. After our introduction to MON Track Wear, we knew we had found the winning combination we were looking for. “
