Two Canadian GP fans can win race pit access
"For several months now, we have been working on ideas on how to offer our clientele a special gift for the 2010 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix. As this is the 60th anniversary of the World Championship, the Formula 1 management had a real surprise for the promoters by offering to each access to the Paddock Club, and above all, a possibility for two spectators to be in the heat of the action during Sunday's race. There was no way we were not going to seize such an exceptional opportunity for a lucky group picked from our numerous and loyal fans," said François Dumontier, President of Octane Racing Group and Promoter of the event.
The Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix has chosen to offer to all who will have bought a pair of grandstand tickets at the latest by May 16, a chance to take part in this grand lottery*. Ten lucky winners, each with a person of his or her choice, will spend all day Saturday June 12 in the Paddock Club. A second draw will enable five of the first ten winners to spend all day Sunday June 13 in the Paddock Club, again with a person of his or her choice. Then, two of the final ten persons will have to leave their companion in the Paddock Club during the race, since they will be taken under a team canopy on the pit wall, a unique viewpoint during a Formula 1 event.
In the Paddock Club, the guests will have the opportunity to watch up close everything that goes on in the pits during practice, qualifying and possibly the race if they are in the Final Five, and witness what is happening in the F1 team control booths. The walkway, located at the rear of the suites, also enables you to watch the comings and goings in the paddocks, a true hive of activity where all the team personnel, from the team principals to the team chef, as well as the drivers and the PR officers, are busy working. Finally, we can add that during a Grand Prix weekend, drivers and team principals are frequent visitors to the Paddock Club.
Those wishing to buy grandstand tickets prior to May 16, to become eligible for the draw, and get a chance to live the "Ultimate F1 Experience" from the pit wall in a team's canopy, must contact the Canadian Grand Prix box office at 514 350-0000, which is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. They can also visit www.circuitgillesvilleneuve.ca, at any time to order online.
As a reminder, the organizers are also offering a variety of corporate packages for both small and large companies and other groups who wish to attend the 2010 Grand Prix of Canada. To make a reservation or to obtain further information, those interested should contact Julie Rioux-Paquette and Marie-Claude Boucher at 514 350-4731. Always popular, corporate packages for the Canadian Grand Prix sell out quickly.
A Canadian company established in Montreal, Octane Racing Group Inc. is the promoter of the FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX by virtue of an agreement made with Formula One Administration Limited and Formula 1 World Championship Limited (together the holder of commercialization rights to F1).
